Rosana joined MatthewsDaniel in 2021 and works across both the pre-risk and risk assessment sides of the business whilst also providing specialist and technical resource supporting the MatthewsDaniel loss adjusting service
Rosana is an accomplished Naval Architect and Marine Engineer and brings over 20 years of experience of working within energy companies across the world, including extensive expertise in ship and platform design and Classification society rules. Having undertaken naval architecture and marine engineering analysis and project approvals on a wide variety of vessel types including Tankers, ultra-deep water Drill ships, Self-elevating Drilling Platforms, LNG/LPG Carriers, FPSO conversions and FLNG assets, she also oversaw the modernisation of Petrobras’s new fleet of tankers.
With recent experience directly related to one of MatthewsDaniel’s core business lines, as a project manager Rosana has been responsible for numerous Marine Warranty Survey scopes, notably the Yamal LNG and Al-Zour new refinery projects and has also been involved in several renewables projects. Rosana has experience in leading a team of engineers and Master Mariners planning heavy lift operations as well as acting as a client focal point for operations.
As a member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), Rosana participates at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) meetings advising on ship design and construction, evolving technology, maritime security and marine environmental issues. She is also a member of the Brazilian Council of Engineering and is proficient in marine software applications such as SESAM, Orcaflex and GHS and has a professional training certificate on Marine Casualty and Incident Investigation and has also participated in project HAZID and HAZOPs analysis.
