Ricardo has a Mechanical Engineering Honours degree, with a post-graduate qualification in
Offshore Systems Engineering. His early career in the oil and gas industry was followed by him
joining a world leader in inspection and certification services, where he was involved in offshore,
ships in service, ships under construction and SURF (Subsea Umbilicals Risers and Flowlines) areas.
He made the move to MatthewsDaniel in 2014, and in 2017 was promoted to the role of Vice
President. Ricardo is a key offshore specialist in our team, with his expertise contributing to the
resolution of major losses in oil and gas sector. Fluent in Portuguese and English, Ricardo has dual
Brazilian and Portuguese citizenship

Roberta graduated as a Chemical Engineer and also holds a Masters in Petroleum Engineering. The
first five years of her working career were as a reservoir fluid analysis engineer, performing PVT
analysis, and a sampling engineer, during open hole operations offshore as part of wireline crew,
and during cased hole operations offshore in the well testing crew. She was also involved with the
management of day-to-day operations planning at Macaé Schlumberger base, Brazil. Roberta joined
our Brazil adjusting team in September 2014. Her strong technical background is key to handling
high profile claims for the oil and gas sector, both upstream and downstream, operating and
construction.
