Hermanto graduated from Maritime College of Science, Jakarta, with the Bachelor’s Degree of Master Marine Engineer and served as Marine Engineer during his maritime career onboard vessels of various types of marine engines.  He is also a certified Marine Safety Investigator with years of experience in a government institution involving in Marine Accident Investigation that affects policies in national marine transportation. Hermanto joined MatthewsDaniel in 2020 as a Senior Marine Surveyor and was involved in Loss Prevention and Post Incident Surveys for owners, PNI Clubs and underwriters. He also conducts Marine Warranty related projects and leads the supporting team of surveyors, marine technical information was analysed to ascertain causation of incident and damages. 

Edy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of North Sumatra – Indonesia. With a solid foundation in mechanical engineering and years  of experience in the insurance industry, he maintains a strong understanding of industry engineering challanges and the specialized risks they encompass. Edy's experience as a senior loss adjuster includes losses involving equipment failures and construction setbacks to property damage and liability claims. Drawing on his technical acumen and deep insurance knowledge, he dedicates himself to the task of securing equitable and swift resolutions for clients, minimizing disruptions and maximizing their recovery in the process. Edy is the holder of the Indonesian Certified Adjusting Practitioners (ICAP) qualification since 2017. Joining MatthewsDaniel in 2024, based in Jakarta, Edy now concentrates on onshore energy and property claims. Grounded in his extensive engineering background and guided by his expertise in navigating complex insurance claims, he supports our Asia Pacific regional team to skillfully address challenging claims within the region, ensuring effective management and resolution.

Dedy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Institut Teknologi Bandung and a Master’s degree in Management (Corporate Finance) from Prasetiya Mulya Business School. Following graduation, he joined a multinational oil and gas service company, Western Atlas (now part of Baker Hughes) as a wireline field engineer working in Indonesia and Australia, both onshore and offshore. After gaining considerable field experience, he later joined a major international insurance company, underwriting various types of energy related accounts, including power, chemical and petrochemical plants. Dedy joined MatthewsDaniel in 2006 and is currently the Director of our operations in Indonesia. His adjusting experience includes geothermal, oil and gas well control claims, various complex claims relating construction and operational assets (onshore and offshore), power plant, refinery plant and telecommunication losses. He is an Associate of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).

Sulaiman joined MatthewsDaniel adjusting team in 2017, bringing a wealth of technical adjusting experience. During his career in adjusting, he has dealt with various types of claims including marine cargo, heavy equipment and other industrial property losses. Sulaiman is the holder of the Indonesian Certified Adjusting Practitioners (ICAP) since 1998.

In 2006, Anjar graduated with a degree in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding Engineering from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS). He started his early career, working in the marine as well as oil and gas sectors, during which he gained hands-on experience on marine operations, oil well drilling, completion, plugging, abandonment and work-over. He then transitioned to loss adjusting in 2013, when he joined an international loss adjusting firm based in Singapore, as Energy Loss Adjuster. In late 2016, Anjar was recruited by an A-rated reinsurance company based in Bahrain to perform the role of Facultative Claims Manager. He was responsible for the management of facultative claims portfolio worth circa USD 250 million, arising from a wide-ranging book of businesses including energy, property, engineering, marine, cargo, aviation, speciality, and liability. During this tenure Anjar had multiple opportunities to act as a claim leader and made critical claim decisions for the entire follow markets. In 2020, Anjar returned to loss adjusting by joining a leading adjusting firm based in Dubai, UAE as Senior Loss Adjuster. Since joining MatthewsDaniel in 2022, Anjar’s strong technical understanding, complex claim resolution abilities, wide industry networks, and insights on the insurance market proved to be invaluable for MatthewsDaniel in our continuous effort to strengthen Asia Pacific regional team.

Albertus holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Indonesia with over a decade of comprehensive experience in engineering and construction. His career has been marked by significant roles in diverse engineering projects, including highway construction, palm oil infrastructure, telecommunication, and power plant projects. Starting his role as a construction engineer, he enhanced his project management and technical engineering skills, eventually progressing to lead a variety of projects. In 2016, Albertus made a strategic shift to the insurance industry, leveraging his engineering background for claims management. He specializes in overseeing a range of claims, particularly property, engineering, and industrial cases. Joining MatthewsDaniel in 2022, based in Jakarta, Albertus now concentrates on onshore energy and property claims. His extensive background in engineering, coupled with his proficiency in significant insurance claim handling, greatly enhances our Asia Pacific regional team's capability to effectively manage complex claims.

Ahmad Ikhwan joined MatthewsDaniel in 2023 as a Marine Surveyor. He graduated from Maritime College of Science, Jakarta, with a Bachelor’s Degree of Master Marine. He was extensively involved in conducting Loss Prevention and Post Incident Surveys for owners, PNI Clubs and underwriters.  Prior to joining MatthewsDaniel, he sailed on board various types of vessels in various capacities of Deck Officer. With these experiences, he provides advice on safe marine operations and practices. 

Graduated from Maritime College of Science, Jakarta, with a Bachelor’s Degree of Marine Engineering, Bhrahmantyas Putranto joined MatthewsDaniel in 2023 as a Marine Surveyor. He was extensively involved in conducting Loss Prevention and Post Incident Surveys for owners, PNI Clubs and underwriters. Integral part of the team in analyzing marine technical information to ascertain causation of incident and damages. Prior to joining MatthewsDaniel, he served in various capacities as a Marine Engineer during his maritime career onboard vessels of various types of marine engines.
