George Begley
Regional Loss Director
George joined MatthewsDaniel with a Masters in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Bristol, and oilfield experience with Haliburton Sperry Drilling. At Halliburton George worked first as a mudlogger and then as a data engineer, primarily in the UK North Sea, as well as a number of onshore assignments elsewhere in Europe. Whilst offshore his responsibilities included monitoring well conditions to provide an early warning system, geological evaluation, engineering analysis and data acquisition service. George commenced his loss adjusting career in February 2013, joining MatthewsDaniel in London, where he developed his knowledge of the London insurance market and the policy forms associated with energy risks, as well as hands on experience in dealing with complex claims. He was involved in adjusting several of the largest control of well claims in the market, located in the North Sea, the Falkland Islands, India, and West Africa. In 2016 George transferred his skills to Singapore and is now key to our handling of well control and other upstream claims in the region, working on cases in Australia, New Zealand, India, SE Asia, and China.
